Call to order at 4:46PM by President Janel Schafer.

Officer’s Reports:
Treasurer – Stephanie Gibbons – current balance 4586.11, received a $50 check from Golden Feather.
Vice President – Jane Flanagan – nothing to report at this time
Recording Secretary – Linda Zarych – Motion to approve the minutes from 10-10-13 by Loretta Leyrer, seconded by Kathy Reichert, minutes approved.
Corresponding Secretary – Kathy Reed has been appointed to fill in for Judi Marzolino until elections in February.
Parliamentarian – Gail Harris thanked Loretta Leyrer for input on Article 3, Sandy SantaMaria for input on Article 1 and Jane Flanagan for input on Article 4 of the bylaws. She has a copy of the bylaws updated in 2004. Let Gail know if you have anything to add to our current updates.
Committee Reports:
Membership – Loretta Leyrer reported that a survey for International was sent to the state. Everyone was asked to sign the website permission form. Everyone has been asked to E-mail their updated bio form to Janel so it can be saved to our chapter flash drive. So far the following people have sent their bio: Amy G., Carol B., Gail H., Jane F., Judi M., Karen S., Marylynn S., Michele P., Randy L., Sandi S., Vicki M., Cathy B., and Winnie W.
Programs/Personal Growth – Kathy Reichert reported that we may have a flower arranging event in the spring and all planned events are available on the website calendar http://dkgalphazetaxi.weebly.com/calendar.html.
Leadership Development – President Janel Schafer appointed Rose Rhine to chair this committee.
Fundraising – Lila Williams reported we are looking for a location that does not charge a fee. Contact Lila with your ideas.
Outreach and Service –
Nominations – Linda Zarych and Natalie Morris – Linda will be our representative to the state nominations committee. Natalie Morris will be in charge of our chapter nominations. Natalie accepted nominations for all elected positions until the end of the meeting when nominations closed. Elections will be held at the Initiate’s Tea on February 10th.

Legislative Action – Janel Schafer reported that updates will continue to be delivered as received by email.
Scholarship – Cathy Barish sent in a report explaining our Stockton scholarship for $250 will be called a Book Award which can be used by the recipient for anything in college. We will sign a five year commitment letter which will not be binding. A Stockton committee chooses the student and we receive her name and a thank you note. We need the online gift agreement form returned by mid-January. Two members will be invited to the Stockton Recognition dinner at a later date. Contact Cathy Barish if you would like to participate on this committee.
Convention – Sandy SantaMaria sent in a report. She is accepting ideas and theme suggestions for table centerpieces. The banner carrier will say a short fact about our chapter. Our $100 basket was donated by Circle Liquor Store and we have enough items for a basket with a Red Hat Society theme. Lila Williams will compile this basket and Natalie Morris is putting together a $25 basket with a picnic theme, if you have items for these baskets please let them know.
Social Committee – Gail Harris and Natalie Morris thanked everyone for attending and bringing food, and Robby Morris for preparing the turkey and ham.
Old Business:
Get the chapter App –Jane and Janel are continuing to assist members in installing the chapter app, Rose and Key, from AppCatch.
Jane Flanagan reported that she has looked into purchasing Xi polo shirts at a cost of $14 to $16 plus $6 for embroidering. She will get a sample.
Janel Schafer reminded everyone of the following meeting dates: February 10th we will hold our chapter elections at the Initiate’s Tea at the home of Amy Gold, and at the spring meeting at the Mays Landing Library on May 7, we will have our officer installation ceremony and a visit from Alpha Zeta State president, Mary Conover.

State meeting on Saturday, January 4th, 10AM to 1PM, officers and committee chairs please attend.

The executive board presented the budget for next year. Linda Zarych made a motion to approve the budget and Janel Schafer seconded it. The budget was voted on and passed.

- Natalie Morris and Linda Zarych are asking members to pre assemble bags for the Womens’ Center. Sisters can work on a bag together. Bags should include sweat pants and a sweat shirt, t-shirt, socks, slip-on sandals, underwear, washcloth, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb or brush, and lotion.
- Sandi Santa Maria reported that after the holidays an Agree-A-Date e-mail will be sent out for a Friday night sewing party for Little Dresses for Haiti. We have plenty of pillowcases.
- Jane Flanagan reported that upcoming visits to Gilda’s Club will be on 1/7, 3/11, 5/13, and 7/15.
- Jane Flanagan reported that upcoming dates for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission are 2/9, 3/30, and 6/1. Six members are needed per visit. Rose Rhine, Kathy Reese and Carol Bennett, along with her family members went on 12/1.
