Call to order - The meeting was called to order at 5:15 by Janel Schafer

Officer’s Reports
- Treasurer’s Report – Lynn Creelman - Balance as of 12/11/12 is $2,917.33 with state dues still to be paid.
- Vice President’s Report – Jane Flanagan - nothing at this time
- Secretary’s Approval of the minutes – Linda Zarych - Jane Flangan moved to approve meeting minutes from 10-11-12, Judi Marzolino seconded, minutes approved.
- Correspondence – Judi Marzolino reported that she had sent many cards to people around the state. In the future she will send cards only to chapter presidents, state officers and Xi members. She asked to be informed about sisters who need cards.
- Parliamentarian – Gail Harris reported that state by-laws will be presented at the state meeting in January and will be voted upon at the state convention in April.
Committee Reports:
- Membership – Loretta Leyrer reported that she will need applications for new members by February 1. She reported that Kathy Reichert had surgery this week.
- Programs/Personal Growth – in Kathy Reichert's absence Jane Flanagan asked for program ideas for future meetings. Janel Schafer reported that Kathy Reichert has found someone to make fascinators for the 75th anniversary state convention luncheon for three dollars apiece. She has also suggested a game for the February program.
- Leadership Development – Patty Carmen - nothing at this time
- Fundraising – Lila Williams is looking for a 2013 event committee to help with the following; Site should be able to seat 50-100 scrappers, have wifi, and a kitchen, looking for low cost location; Food- need someone to take charge of the kitchen, sisters be ready to donate, set up, clean up, and raffles.
- Outreach and Service – Natalie Morris sent out a list of items needed for the Women’s Center kits. We will pick a date to work on them at a future meeting. She will put one bag together as a sample. Sandy Santa Maria and Janel Schafer will set a date for Little Dresses for Haiti using AgreeADate. Jane Flanagan reported that Gilda’s Club was postponed again and a new date was set for Jan. 18th, 2013.
- World Fellowship/Yearbook – Randy Levy reported that we are helping to sponsor a student, Maria Istaq Khan, and we are sending her cards, E-mails and notes. She will put more information on the website.
- Legislative Action – Janel Schafer – Carmella has not sent anything new in a long while. Sisters will be notified of anything new via e-mail.
- Scholarship – Kathy Barish – Kathy Barish asked for help in determining the qualifications for our new $250 scholarship for a student majoring in education. We have to set up the award process. Janel Schafer reported that the deadline to apply for the Elizabeth M Bozarth scholarship has been extended to Jan 1. This scholarship goes towards classes and an applicant must be a member for 3 years.
- Convention – Sandy SantaMaria – Work with chapter presidents to coordinate chapter history display boards and memorabilia exhibits. Request each chapter celebrate their specific # birthday for this year via the display. Each chapter should display their written and pictorial history. Notify chapter presidents of time and location of display (set up and take down). Design CERTIFICATES honoring each chapter for their chapter history display. Sandi is doing this. Distribute certificates to each chapter. Lila will gather information and create our chapter’s history board. We also need 50 paper backs in good condition and children’s books for the book sale. Linda Zarych and Marylynn Stecher will coordinate our chapter sale of bracelets for Haiti. We will sell them for five dollars apiece. Sandi SantaMaria is waiting to hear if the sale has been approved and she will then order them. We will wear fascinators to the Saturday luncheon. We have not yet received registration forms for convention. Dates are April 12-14, 2013. Our special gift to AZ State as a 75th birthday present was discussed. It was decided that we will ask Winnie Witmer to help put together a framed and matted photo of a lighthouse and ask Rose Petrunis to do a message in calligraphy. Our baskets are finished. Loretta Leyrer did a large Jersey Girl basket. Judi Marzolino did a small Apple for the Teacher basket. Kathy Reichert did a small Rose basket.
Old Business
- Buddy sister names were drawn. Please remember them on birthdays, special occasions, etc.
- Janel Schafer had our website certified and put back on the state site and on the national website.
New Business
- Next meeting will be the initiates’ tea on February 11, 2013 at the home of Lila Williams.
- $5 Raffle to benefit Sister to Sister fund, sled donated by Jane Flanagan
