1. Treasurer’s Report – Lynn Creelman
2. Vice President’s Report – Jane Flanagan moved we send a check for $200 to Gilda's Club and the Atlantic City Rescue Mission. Carol Bennett made the motion
and it was seconded by Lorettat Leyrer. Motion voted on and passed.
3. Secretary’s Approval of the minutes – Linda Zarych - Lynn Creelman moved to approve the minutes from 12/11/12, motion was seconded by Jane Flanagan. Motion was voted on and approved.
4. Correspondence – Judi Marzolino – Awesome job on the newsletter!
5. Parliamentarian – Gail Harris – State by-laws - ready for approval at convention

Program:Cards for Khan - The sisters brought cards which we addressed to Maria Khan our World Fellowship sister. Sisters wrote thoughtful messages of support. Each person took home a card to mail to let Maria know we are thinking of her and hope she is enjoying her studies at SUNY Albany.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45PM.

Committee Reports:
- Membership – Loretta Leyrer – Email your updated bio form to Janel so it can be saved to our flash drive. Membership voted for and approved all initiate candidates! Looking forward to their initiation April 13th at convention. Kathy Watkins will be initiated May 8th at the meeting.
- Programs/Personal Growth – Kathy Reichert – see Calendar on chapter website - http://dkgalphazetaxi.weebly.com/ We are looking into having Barbara Baressi come and present Reiki at our Spring meeting for the program.
- Leadership Development – Looking for a volunteer to take this over temporarily and be a part of the state committee.
- Fundraising – Lila Williams: Status update - We are approved to use the NCS cafetorium for free, we will need to offer one of our teacher grants to an NCS teacher. We will need to pay a custodian $20/hr. for the day. Lila is taking names for the 2013 event committee
- Outreach and Service – Natalie Morris, Linda Zarych, and Jane Flanagan – Women’s Center Bags - we will set a date at the Spring meeting to compile the bags over the summer. We need more donations of sweat pants and sweat shirt, t-shirt, slip on sandals, socks, underwear, wash cloth, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, and lotion. Gilda’s Club is Tuesday, February 19th from 7-8PM, meeting for dinner at Ventura's at 5:00PM. Date for Little Dresses for Haiti is March 1st at Sandi SantaMaria’s house. Need ribbon and appliques. Atlantic City Rescue Mission - April 6th – Saturday – 10AM-1PM - We will be helping to prepare dinner, serve lunch, and assemble spice pouches. The ladies will then be heading over to The White House for subs! First 12 to volunteers will be able to attend, contact Jane. Children 14 and over are permitted to attend.
- World Fellowship/Yearbook – Randy Levy – send cards to Maria Ishaq Khan 99 S Lake Ave. Apt.6 Albany, NY 12208
- Legislative Action – Janel Schafer – Carmella asks that we all be prepared and aware and become cyber lobbyists. Sisters will be notified of opportunities via e-mail.
- Scholarship – Kathy Barish –We have decided to begin awarding this $250 gift to a student planning on majoring in education in 2014. Toni’s Gift – Lou Schultz will gather information for this to present at next meeting. New Teacher Grants will be created from our scrap booking fundraising.
- Convention – Sandy SantaMaria – Lila , Sandi, and Lou will create history board. Chapter certificates are done. Sandi will man table on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, but looking for volunteers to help. Bracelets for Haiti are ordered, Judi had a great article in the Convention newsletter, cost is $5 and all money will go to The Apparent Project. Sandi is labeling our books for the sale, left-overs have to be picked up Sat before initiation. Fascinators are available for $3.50. AZS 75th birthday gift is complete, thank you Loretta! Our raffle baskets are complete, thank you to Kathy Reikert, Loretta Leyrer, and Judi Marzolino. DON'T FORGET TO REGISTER ONLINE!
- State Nominations – Linda Zarych reported that she attended the state nominations committee meeting on February 2. New state officers will be approved at convention.
Old Business:
- A buddy system has been created. Please check your e-mail for the list. The purpose of the buddy system is to remind one another of upcoming events and to fill each other in on what we may have missed at a meeting or activity. If you miss you an contact your buddy. If your buddy misses, contact them and tell them what they missed. This is another way we are trying to keep our membership united and informed. Please participate!
New Business:
- Next meeting will be the spring meeting at the Mays Landing library on May 8th. We will have Chinese food at that meeting and sisters bring drinks, apps, and dessert. Janel will send out a Sign-up-genius closer to the date and Gail and Natalie will let the sisters know the menu and cost.
- A motion was made by Janel Schafer and seconded by Loretta Leyrer to purchase a $50 Shop Rite gift card for the Zeta chapter to purchase food for their next meeting. This will be sent with the beautiful picture Winnie Witmer donated to Sara Schaefer, the Zeta chapter president to let Zeta know our hearts are with them as they continue to struggle in the aftermath of Sandy. Loretta will be reimbursed the cost of the gift card plus shipping. Motion approved.
