The meeting called to order by President Janel Schafer at 4:35.
Welcome guests Rachel Husta, Sarah Platt, and Laura Veisz our Teacher to Teacher grant winners, and Stockton student Ashley Burns our Book Award winner. We would also like to welcome Stockton Dean of Education Claudine Keenan, Stockton Professor Jeanne DelColle, 2012 NJ State Teacher of the Year and Eta chapter member, and our Alpha Zeta State President Barbara Smith.

- No new initiates this year. We will expand our Teacher to Teacher grant to other districts in the fall in hopes to expand membership.
- Our assignment is the registration table.
- Debra Silver is our convention scholarship winner but can not attend convention. New drawing winner was Diane Brunetti.
- If you plan on attending the luncheon, let Janel know, we need a banner carrier.
- We need 25 popular fiction or children's books, PAPERBACKS ONLY. Nothing has been mentioned about this yet, but I assume we will need to do this again.
- Spring and Summer events are being discussed. Forward ideas to Kathy Reichert
- Painting night at Bellevue Bagel Shop in Hammonton.
- Gail Harris update on NYC trip
- Scrapbooking event October 1st or 15th 2016, 9 AM to 9 PM. Chapter chose October 15th. Lila Williams raised a question about having the event annually versus biannually and Loretta Leyrer reminded us that we had discussed and voted previously to hold the event on an annual basis.
- Linda Zarych, Rose Rhine, and Natalie Morris - Women’s Center. Linda and Natalie will create a Sign-Up-Genius for needed materials to complete bags. (Bags should include sweat pants and a sweat shirt, t-shirt, socks, slip-on sandals, underwear, washcloth, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb or brush, and lotion. We label the completed bags indicating they are a gift from Xi.)
- Sandra Santa Maria - Little Dresses for Haiti – Next date coming soon
- Rose Rhine - March 15th - Tuesday - 6:45PM - 8PM - Game Night with the Noogies - The group is meeting for dinner at Charlies in Somers Point at 4:45PM. Gilda's Club of South Jersey, New Road, Linwood
- Janel Schafer – February 20th - Saturday- 10AM - 1PM - Atlantic City Rescue Mission Lunch Service - 2009 Bacharach Blvd. Atlantic City Lunch at Los Amigos after service.
