Membership – Congratulations to our dedicated membership! Janel Schafer honored our sisters for their years of service with Certificates of Recognition.
Bio Forms: The following people have updated their bio: Amy G., Barb B., Carol B., Cathy B., Gail H., Helen H., Jane F., Janel S., Judi M., Karen S., Kathy W., Loretta L., Marylynn S., Michele P., Randy L., Sandi S., Vicki M., and Winnie W. Get yours in!
Convention – Sandy SantaMaria reported on Xi’s participation at a great convention! The state is keeping our centerpieces to use again. Chapter sales for Haiti went well and our baskets were a hit. Janel Schafer presented our Rose (Linda Zarych) and Key (Sandra SantaMaria) award winners with framed recommendation letters.
Programs/SEE – Kathy Reichert reported that there will be a flower arranging event at her home on May 18th at 1PM. The cost is $25 to be paid in advance. Kathy needs a count as soon as possible. We are also planning on assembling gift bags for new teachers.
Fundraising – Scrapbooking event October 4th, 2014, 9AM to 9PM
Legislative Action – updates will continue to be delivered by email
Scholarship – Cathy Barish will try to contact someone in the Education department at Stockton regarding our Xi award. 2 Teachers Helping Teachers grants awarded to Cheryl Bonsall for $197.51 to purchase Audubon Field Guides for the Northfield Community School library, and Mary Ann Devine for $200 to support her STEAM Imagineering Expo in June. Toni’s Gift will be presented at Davies Award Night.
Social Committee – Thank you to Gail Harris and Natalie Morris for organizing our pot luck. Gail and Natalie thank the sisters for their donations.
World Fellowship/Yearbook – Randy Levy - Cards were sent to Didem and Damcelle, look for an email asking for updates to the yearbook.

Meeting adjourned at 5:50PM by President Janel Schafer and Mary Conover was given a thank you basket for attending our Spring Meeting.

- Treasurer ‘s Report– Stephanie Gibbons reported a balance of $4235.04 as of May 5th.
- Vice President – Jane Flanagan - nothing at this time.
- Secretary’s Report –Linda Zarych moved to approve meeting minutes from February 10th, 2014. Seconded by Carol Bennett, minutes approved.
- Corresponding Secretary – Kathy Reed reported that she received a thank you note to Mary Anne Devine for the Teacher to Teacher Grant.
- Parliamentarian – Gail Harris - Gail Harris reported that she has
sent out copies of the by-laws to everyone.
Please read carefully and email recommendations and any additions. She will forward them to the state by-laws
committee.

- We will be using the Northfield Community School for our scrapbooking event again this year.
- All sisters will be a part of one of the following committees; baskets, breakfast, lunch, dinner. Check the website for committees and chairmen.
- Letters were distributed and remainder to be sent by Northfield Community School.
- To get a raffle license, we must register with the state biannually. Registration cost is $100 every two years, and the cost of the license is $20 per year per event. This would cost us about $70 a year. Jane Flanagan and Stephanie Gibbons will take over this application process.
- Natalie Morris and Linda Zarych - Women’s Center. Sisters can work on a bag together. Bags should include sweat pants and a sweat shirt, t-shirt, socks, slip-on sandals, underwear, washcloth, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, comb or brush, and lotion. We will put labels on the completed bags indicating they are a gift from Xi. We may still need to get together this summer to work on them.
- Sandra Santa Maria - Sandra Santa Maria reported that we will get together in July to sew Little Dresses for Haiti. We need appliques, straight pins, sharp scissors, and machines.
- Jane Flanagan - upcoming Gilda’s Club dates are 5/13, and 7/15. Next year we will alternate visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will meet for dinner at Ventura’s before our visit next week.
- Janel Schafer - Janel Schafer reported that we
have the needed 6 volunteers for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission on June
1.

- Randy Levy showed a picture of the plank purchased by Xi for the boardwalk at the Forsythe Wildlife Refuge, and was given a check for $100 to pay for it.

- Executive meeting June 11th at Janel’s house, we will be completing the 2014-2016 Strategic Action Plan.
- Rose Rhine invited us to Strathmere for a beach day on July 17th.
- Dates for AC Rescue Mission kitchen volunteers, Wed. July 23rd, Sat Sept 20th, Sun Nov 2nd, Sat Jan 31st, Sun March 29th, Sat May 17th.
- Dates for Gilda’s: Sept 9th T, Nov 13th Th, Jan 6th T, Mar 12th Th, May 12th T
- July 28 – August 1, 2014, International Convention, Indianapolis, Indiana
- Fall meeting will be Xi Around the World, sisters will present their travels and the pot luck dinner will take on a world theme, foods from around the world, bring a foreign favorite of your own!
- Fall Open House will take place on October 24th, Friday night at Janel’s house, look for new members.
