- Flag Salute
- Welcome DKG President Roxanne Adinolfi
- Alpha Zeta State President, Roxanne Adinolfi shared a few inspiring words with us about the importance of our history and looking to the future of DKG.
- Thought for Today –Jane Flanagan read an inspiring passage on the importance of sisterhood.
- Approval of Minutes: Janel Schafer – Minutes sent by email Motion to approve by Lou Shults, second by Sandi SantaMaria, approved.
- Correspondence –Amy Gold shared thank you cards from Sandi, Gilda's Club, and the Atlantic County Women's Center.
- Treasurer’s Report – Jane Flanagan updated our account status. Motion to approve by Lila Williams, seconded by Cathy Barrish, approved.
- Committee Reports:
- Membership /Initiation: Thank you to Carol Bennett for your service to the chapter, and the initiate’s tea was splendid as usual. This committee will be led by Loretta Leyrer in the new biennium. Some upcoming events would be great opportunities to bring potential members.
- Programs/Personal Growth: Kathy Reikert – Refer to the Calendar of Events XI 2012-2013. Thank you for organizing our trip to Plagido’s, it was enjoyed by all who attended, there and after! Looking forward to Sharrott winery on June 9th!
- Fundraising: Lila Williams – There will be no scrapbooking event this year due to a sufficient balance of funds. It is suggested that we plan on holding the event bi-annually.
- Outreach & Service:
- Women's Center – Linda Zarych and Natalie Morris – Thank you those that gathered to build the 29 bags that were donated. Sandi suggested we look into the Dress for Success program, donating business attire to women getting back on their feet.
- Rescue Mission and Gilda’s Club – Jane Flanagan – Since our past experiences were so enjoyed by the sisters who participated; future dates have been added to our calendar.
- World Fellowship: Randi Levy – nothing at this time
- Legislative Action: Janel Schafer – Updates will continue to be sent as received by e-mail.
- Scholarship andResearch/Expansion: Kathy Barish – Don’t forget the next round of applications are due in September. We will take over Toni Aurelia’s gift next Spring - $50 for an 8th grader. Next year will also begin a $250 scholarship for a senior who plans on majoring in education, dedicated to the memory of all passed Xi chapter members. If interested in being a part of this committee, contact Kathy B. More information will be available at our next meeting.
- Convention: Lou Schultz – All sisters who attended had a tremendous time.
- Highlights include: Basket raffle (Lou’s creations for this year were beautiful!), Friday night happy hour, Lunch at McCormick and Schmick’s, shopping, Saturday night pajama party, and Sunday lunch at Harold’s
- Thank you to Sandi SantaMaria for making the certificates for the convention displays.

- Presentation of Awards:
- Teacher of the Year – Amy Gold was chosen as the Hess School Teacher of the Year. Congratulations!
- Scholarship winner – Jane Flanagan was awarded the Elizabeth M. Bozarth State Scholarship. Well done!
- Rose Award – Janel Schafer was presented with a framed copy of her nomination.
- Key Award – Gail Harris was presented with a framed copy of her nomination.

- Program: Stefanie Zarych – Stefanie shared her experiences in Haiti and inspired the group to purchase braceletts to support those suffering from an organization at aparentproject.org Stefanie showed us a site called Little Dresses for Africa and suggested that this would be a good way for us to get involved. Sisters suggested we have a sewing circle to create Little Dresses for Haiti for Stefanie to take with her on her next trip. Watch your e-mail for more information about the sewing circle. Janel Schafer offered her home for the activity. We are using AgreeDate to decide when, participate here.

- Pin Ribbon holder- Orders are being taken, see Jane Flanagan. Orders must be placed by May 21st and pins will be delivered at the June 2nd Officer's training.
