Officer’s Reports:
1 Treasurer’s Report – Jane Flanagan moved to approve the treasurer's report, Gail Harris second. Approved
2. Vice President’s Report – Jane Flanagan - Jane will co-chair the state committee for young DKGs, please submit any ideas to Jane.
3. Secretary’s Approval of the minutes – Linda Zarych moved, Kathy Reichert seconded. Approved.
4. Correspondence – Judi Marzolino – Lovely thank you note was sent by Sara Schafer and Zeta chapter for the gift card and framed photo of Old Barney. Sisters
donated cards for use by the corresponding secretary. An article was submitted about our scrapbooking event and what we hope to do with the funds. Judi will co-
chair the state circulation committee.
5. Parliamentarian – Gail Harris – State by-laws - approved at convention, we need to look at our own and update them over the next biennium.

1. Membership – Loretta Leyrer – Initiation Ceremony: Diane Brunetti and Kathy Watkins
a. Welcome Kathy Falciano, Kathy Reed, Karen Santora, Stephanie Gibbons, and Vicky Myers initiated at convention.
b. Email your updated bio form to Janel so it can be saved to our flash drive. (Forms have been turned in by: Amy G, Carol B, Gail H, Jane F, Judi M, Karen S,
Marylynn S, Michele P, Randy L, Sandra S, and Vicki M.)

a. Prof Dev. Opportunities - EdCamp Philly - May 18 Sat; EdCamp STEAM - 7/31Wed; PadCamp - 8/8 Thurs; TeachMeetNJ - 8/22 Thurs
b. Summer social events – Beach Social at Rose's tindeminium in Strathmere - July 11th 1:00PM - bring your chair, a drink, and a snack to share, Air Show 6/26
we will meet on Bartram Ave., Girls’ Night Out at Sharrott 7/18 and 8/15 - order your tickets in advance through their website, they sell out fast!
c. Flowers, Feathers, and Food - We will be going to Kathy Reichert's house over the summer to learn about flower arranging. After the presentation/lesson, we will
be heading over to the Golden Feather to spend our $10 certificates. Cost, exact date, and lunch arrangements are yet to be determined, stay tuned
d. Winnie will present her travels at our October Meeting
3. Leadership Development – Please get involved in a committee, there are several that need help right now.
4. Fundraising – Lila Williams: Status update
a. NCS cafetorium - We will need to pay a custodian between 281.71 and 303.38 for the day. We will have wifi, access to the kitchen serving line and refrigeration,
stage, hall, and bathrooms. 55 round tables and 11 long white tables will be set up the night before, we can get in the night before after 4:30 PM. We will be doing
a basket raffle, please give any baskets, cellophane, wired ribbon you have to Janel. If you know any business owners please take a donation letter. Join a 2013
event committee; breakfast, lunch, dinner, clean up, raffle baskets.
5. Outreach and Service – Natalie Morris, Linda Zarych, and Jane Flanagan –
a. Women’s Center Bags ( sweat pants and sweat shirt, t-shirt, slip on sandals, socks, underwear, wash cloth, shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste,
toothbrush, and lotion) We will gather at Linda Z's house on July 24th to compile the bags and enjoy the pool!
b. Lttle Dresses for Haiti at Sandi SantaMaria’s house one night over the summer. Need ribbon and appliques. PLEASE RESPOND TO THE AGREE-A-DATE.
c. Gilda’s Club – Sign up on their website for the Volunteer training. Possible date in June, we can all go together. GildaFest is Friday May 17th, Game Night
Tuesdays May 14th (dinner at Ventura's at 5:00, and July 16th (dinner at Smitty's Clam Bar at 4:45). Camp Sparkle Art Day June 24th 9AM to 12PM.
d. Atlantic City Rescue Mission - perhaps a weekday over the summer
6. World Fellowship/Yearbook – Randy Levy – send cards to Maria Ishaq Khan 99 S Lake Ave. Apt.6 Albany, NY 12208
7. Legislative Action – Janel Schafer – nothing at this time.
8. Scholarship – Cathy Barish and Gail Harris
a. Committee will be organizing to set procedures and qualifications
b. Toni’s Gift – Lou Schultz $50 to an 8th grader, Awards Night is June 11th 7PM, I will present it to the winner, need someone to take pictures for the website.
c. New $250 gift to student planning on majoring in education
d. Teacher Grants – work in conjunction with fundraising
9. Convention – Sandy SantaMaria – bracelets, boards, books, and baskets. We all had a blast!
a. Please email Janel any digital photos you have of the weekend and any other events!
b. Rose Award winner – Jane Flanagan presented by Janel Schafer
c. Key Award winner – Loretta Leyrer presented by Natalie Morris

Secret Sisters/Buddy systems – Keep your buddy informed, send them pictures of events they missed, give them a call to fill them in on up-coming events and encourage them to come out and join us.

Event with another chapter (Delta, Omicron, Zeta) suggestions
Xi sweats, t-shirts - Most sisters would prefer a sweatshirt, zip-up, in black with red rose and white lettering. Cost will be around $30.
Potential member open house at Janel’s on 9/27/13, Friday night.

Program – Barbara Baressi will shared with us her passion for Reiki. We learned it origin, practice, purpose, and benefits. Thank you Barbara!
