Sisters of Xi Book AwardApplications for this grant are due in December and will be awarded in February.
This $500 in academic aid is open to a female undergraduate student at a New Jersey college or university, majoring in Education. CONGRATULATIONS TO ASHLEY BURNS THE 2016 SISTERS OF XI BOOK AWARD WINNER!Stephanie is a full-time Dean's List student of education at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. This Alpha Lamda Delta honor society member and youth group leader is sure to be a fabulous addition to the teaching profession. Her compassion for students with disabilities and eager disposition can only lead to a stand out career as a special education teacher. We look forward to following her progress and watching her shine in future.

Congratulations to Rachel Husta, Sarah Platt, and Laura Veisz our Teacher to Teacher grant winners! Mrs. Rachel Husta, is a special education teacher at the Hess School. She will be utilizing the grant to institute a diverse and technology rich reading program for her students. The funds will go towards ordering non-fiction e-books for her students.
Mrs. Sarah Platt, will be using her grant to support the STEM program at the Hess School. Platt's STEM students are learning computer programming through MIT App Inventor. Xi is happy to fund the purchase of two tablets to enable her students to test their inventions! Mrs. Laura Veisz is a special education teacher at the William Davies Middle School. Her award will enable multiple special education classes at the middle school level to travel to Philadelphia for a walking tour of the Historic District. Xi is proud to sponsor the bus that will take them all there!\ Congratulations to these outstanding teachers for their professionalism and commitment to expanding students' ability to learn in a positive educational environment. Winners were honored at a ceremony at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. We had a great turn out for the awards ceremony, we were even joined by our Alpha Zeta State President Barbara Smith.

Toni's GiftIn memory of Antonia Aurelia, this $50 gift is given to an outstanding 8th grader graduating from the William Davies Middle School who voluntarily gives of their time to help their peers.
CONGRATULATIONS NATASHIA COOPER!Natashia was a peer tutor throughout her eighth grade year at the William Davies Middle School. She freely gave of her own time to help her peers who needed academic assistance. Natashia is an outstanding example of character and high academic achievement. We are proud to award her in the name of Toni Aurealia.
